Designed to enhance both the efficiency of filtration and the sustainability of aquatic ecosystems, B-BOX have arrived to provide superior filtration while minimizing environmental impact through the unique compostable properties of the biodegradable coating. Once the filter cartridges have reached the end of their lifespan, their coating can be simply removed and composted along with the organic waste, and the inner filter material potential for reuse as plant substrates, minimizing waste.
Filtration methods
The B-BOX cartridges combine mechanical, biological, and chemical filtration methods. Mechanical filtration efficiently removes debris and waste particles, keeping your aquarium water crystal clear and free of impurities. Biological filtration harnesses the power of beneficial bacteria to break down harmful substances, ensuring a balanced and healthy aquatic ecosystem. The chemical filtration removes dissolved wastes from water, such as chlorine, ammonia or phosphate.
B-BOX Cleanwater
Ultrafiltration which keeps the aquarium glass and surface clean for longer, helping to create ideal conditions for fish. Reduces organic material, absorbs and retains phosphates, nitrates, nitrites and ammonia. Good results after two weeks. NOTE: in the case of fish treatment, this filter media must be removed.
B-BOX Pure Water
It helps to keep water crystal clear. It prevents and eliminates colours, odours, chlorine, chloramines and toxic metals. NOTE: in the case of fish treatment, this filter media must be removed.
Monthly replacement.
B-BOX Anti Algae
Very effective filtration to fight and reduce unwanted algae. It absorbs phosphates, nitrates and ammonia. NOTE: in the case of fish treatment, this filter media must be removed.
Replacement every 2 months.
B-BOX Bact Life
It creates an ecosystem between fish and plants. It consumes amonium/ammonia and nitrites. Provides more space for nitrifying bacteria.
Replacement every 5 months.
B-BOX Coarse Foam (10 ppi)
It works as a pre-filter, retaining the existing waste in the water. For better efficiency, clean it with water from the aquarium once a month.
Replacement every 3-5 months.

Composting process
Once their function in aquarium filtration is complete, the biodegradable coating of the filter media must be disposed of in organic waste and then composted. In addition, most of the materials that make up the B-BOX can be reused as substrate for plants, giving them a new purpose.
